What is B Corp

B Corp certification recognises companies that uphold rigorous standards across governance, social responsibility, and environmental impact. It also requires a legal commitment to considering all stakeholders and operating with transparency and accountability. Certified businesses are reassessed every three years, reinforcing a culture of continual improvement and long‑term sustainability. We’re proud to stand alongside more than 2,000 UK companies that are part of this growing movement, using business as a force for positive change.

B Corp Month

March is B Corp month! It’s an annual campaign to celebrate B Corp - the purpose to use business as a force for good and the companies operating to the robust standards. We work to promote B Corps manufacturers making furniture in a better way, and want to spread the word.

Our B Corp journey

Dodds & Shute used the B Corp framework in the very early years of our business as a best practice guide to help us grow into an ethical and responsible business. When we were certified in 2022, our whole team was proud of the collective journey we’d been on to shape a company aligned with our personal values.

We are delighted to have been recertified at the end of 2025, and to have increased our score from 104 to 109. We are proud of the external stamp of approval on our work to constantly improve our businesses and practices.

A new B Corp standard has been released which takes the certification even further, to lead the charge on redefining our economic system to work for all, not just generating money for shareholders. We relish the challenge for embarking on this reaffirmed journey.
